Our Sapphire™ Concealed Socket is polished chrome plated and for use with a 19 or 25mm chrome plated tube/rail. The bracket is sold as a pair and comes complete with screws. It may seem like this is a hard task to complete but after reading this blog post you will know how to install a Sapphire concealed wardrobe socket.
You will need:
- A pair of Sapphire Concealed Sockets
- Sapphire Chrome Tube
- A Tape Measure
- A Drill
- A Pencil
- A Phillips Screwdriver
Step 1 – Using a tape measure for accuracy, mark with a pencil where you want the socket to go.
Step 2 – Place the base plate over the marking you made in step one. Make two additional markings through the holes in the base place. This is where the screws will go.
Step 3 – Drill two holes where you made the marking in step 2.
Step 4 – Fasten the two screws to hold the base plate in place.
Step 5 – Place the top of the socket onto your Sapphire Chrome Tube and twist onto the base plate.
Ensure you take the correct precautions when using a power drill. For example, it is important to wear work gloves because power drills give off intense vibrations and can reach high temperatures due to the impact and friction. To protect your hands, wear thick gloves always.
To make step 4 easier ask a friend to hold the base plate. This will help you easily fasten the screws as the base plate is held in place and will not move.
